The plants we build for the biological purification of pollutants are based on the principle of activated sludge, considered one of the most versatile known technologies. Our plants are based on our experience and knowledge, which since 1980 has helped us to realise plants of excellent quality and with a favourable compromise between installation costs and operating costs for our customers. How do they work?
Following a classic purification cycle, the raw sewage is first subjected to the preliminary treatments of coarse and fine screening, with eventual shredding, and grit removal. After possible pre-aeration and de-oiling, they are sent to primary sedimentation, where most of the settleable solids are deposited. With primary sedimentation, primary treatment is completed and with subsequent treatment, the biological treatment phase begins.
The sewage is sent to the oxidative phase, where intense and artificial aeration (dissolved oxygen) takes place, within which chemical oxidation and physical-biological processes take place, in which microorganisms associated in colonies form sludge flocs that agglomerate the sedimentable solids that have escaped the primary phase and block colloidal solids that cannot be sedimented by adsorption phenomena; the microorganisms then proceed to process the captured compounds after solubilisation with extracellular enzymes. This process then renders previously non-settleable compounds sedimentable. High microbial concentrations are made possible by the recirculation of the sludge. The sludge is then sent to secondary sedimentation, which separates the sludge from the purified effluent for sending to sludge treatment and tertiary treatment (sand filters, activated carbon filters, MBR membranes, etc.) respectively.

AEROBICS
Supply of turnkey plant including building and carpentry works. Equalization tank equipped with horizontal immersion mixers and level control in order to homogenize the flow and make it possible to manage the level according to the weekly production volumes. Two lines in parallel composed of anoxic and aerobic sections with dispersed mass, nitrification and denitrification. Final clarification section with purified water that is sent directly to the drain. The sludge is thickened in a vertical conical tank and the sludge is dewatered in a screw press. The system guarantees compliance with the limits for the ongoing discharge of surface water for all parameters.

AEROBICS
Supply and installation of a turnkey plant for the oxidation of waste water from fabric bleaching. The wastewater treatment system involved simple mixing using submersible mixers, but laboratory tests had shown a reduction in the concentration of surfactants after vigorous aeration. The system now guarantees compliance with unloading limits with large margins.
